The Wait is now over; after several anxious months, the results of the Mersey Maritime Industry Awards 2018 have finally been announced.

 

The winners were chosen from the shortlisted finalists at a prestigious dinner held in Liverpool’s Anfield football stadium.  The event was attended by over 100 guests from the business world of Mersey Maritime.

Making a Splash!

Several months of planning, organising and construction have finally come to fruition as the team at OPS proudly launch their floating pontoon and climbing platform.

The platform is now firmly located in the centre of Crosby Lakeside Marina where it will play a vital role in the training and preparation for working out at sea, and which forms a part of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Safety Certificate.

The Institute of Corrosion document which defines the requirements for the operation of the ICATS scheme is called the Req Doc and the latest version (the 15th Edition since the scheme was introduced in 2005) has just been approved.

Offshore Painting Services (OPS) has appointed Chris Holden (pictured) as general manager of its operational base at the Port of Grimsby, as it emerges as a new maintenance hub for North Sea offshore wind farms.

The Liverpool-based group provides industrial painting, training and blade technician services for projects in the UK, Europe and beyond, including Race Bank, Dudgeon and Burbo Bank.
