OPS Training Ltd is an iso9001 and iso14001 accredited Health and Safety / Technical Training company being one part of the OPS group which includes OPS industrial services and Offshore Painting Services catering to the Oil, Gas, Renewable Energy and Construction Industries.

 

Our training centre is conveniently located at the start of the M57/M58 motorway network in Liverpool and just 40 minutes from Manchester Airport and 15 minutes from Liverpool airport.

 

We provide an extensive range of courses to a wide variety of clientele from industry leaders, to people looking for a career in the growing onshore and offshore sectors.  We use our real-life training environments to give you the skills and knowledge to ensure we deliver a like for like training. Delivering an extensive range of accredited courses as well as bespoke training packages to suit your own needs including but not limited to: Site induction training, Recruitment drives, First Aid, Working at Height, Rope Access, Fire Safety and Industrial painting, OPS Training work with you to provide the best training with the best trainers.

 

MEET THE TEAM


Alison McNulty - Training Operations Manager

Alison joined OPS as Training Operations Manager in 2016 to set up and run the training centre. Her passion for training and keeping people safe has spanned over 25 years, holding skills which includes writing bespoke training material, delivering & assessing training course and obtaining the following accreditation's:

Alison has written workbooks for both PPE inspection and Managing Safely in Offshore Renewables which were accredited by IOSH as well as clients bespoke rescue plans / courses. She also sat on the IRATA Training committee for 2017-2018.


John McCarthy

John joined OPS Training as the IRATA Manager in 2016 where his technical knowledge helps him provide quality instruction on his courses.

John has worked on much of the UK and Europes structures such as on and offshore assets, football stadiums, high rise towers and nuclear stations to name but a few. Through his working experience he is able to bring a wide range of skills, add to this his passion and drive and it gives the highest quality of training to those undertaking his courses which is now recognised within the North West by his excellent training reputation.

In his spare time John is involved with his local IAM Group (Institute of Advanced Motorists) where he guides candidates in preparation for thier advanced motorcycle exams


Stuart Wilson-Maher - Training Coordinator

Stuart has a wealth of experience, 13 years of which include the creation, development and maintenance of training programmes for previous employers, as well as managing and facilitating all NVQ training. With 11 years experience of delivering and assessing NVQ's, Stuart carries out tutor observations on a monthly basis. He manages the day-to-day running of the extensive course schedules and assisting the OPS trainers.


Mike Edwards

Mike is an experienced commercial diver with 10 years under his dive belt and 18 years as a sports diver. He has had varied roles within the industry such as commercial diver, diver medical technician, emergency response supervisor and confined space supervisor.

Mike brings with him his vast industry knowledge delivering our GWO Basic safety training, Confined space and Emergency rescue training.


Phil Keating

An experienced HSE offshore medic, and advanced diver medic, with over 25 years experience in Pre-Hospital care in remote and austere environments.

A SMACC contributor and regular instructor on PHTLS, ATACC, rope rescue, GWO and sea survival courses. Phil also teaches Police Firearms teams and Firefighters on trauma courses across the country and is also an NWAS Enhanced First Responder.
